Description
The Power Products 11451PB is a red (emergency / supply line) gladhand for tractor-trailer air brake systems. It is an aftermarket replacement for Haldex/Midland 11451, Phillips 12-008, and Velvac 035042. The body is die-cast aluminum with a 1/2-inch NPT female port. The emergency configuration is polarized to mate only with the red supply line, preventing cross-connection with the service (blue) line. Meets SAE J318.

Color Coding (SAE J318)
Red is the emergency / supply line — it pressurizes the trailer reservoir and holds off the spring brakes. If the line disconnects or loses pressure on the road, trailer spring brakes apply automatically as a safety feature. Blue is the service line; it controls trailer brakes during normal braking. Always connect red-to-red and blue-to-blue.
Sold individually. Includes rubber seal. Verify your existing gladhand port size (1/2 in NPT) before ordering. Use thread sealant rated for air-brake service when installing into the NPT port.
