Description
Modern vehicles commonly use the SAE J2044 standard for quick connect fittings in applications such as air breather lines, vacuum lines, PCV lines, coolant lines, and Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) fuel lines.
These fittings allow you to connect the OEM style J2044 female quick-connect fittings to a female O-ring boss port.
To determine the quick-connect male barb size needed, measure the outer diameter of the male barb on your vehicle and refer to the diagram below.
Fuel systems commonly use the 5/16″ or 3/8″ size quick connect fittings. Most GM vehicles use M10 (9.89mm) quick release fittings for PCV breather lines. Ford and Dodge commonly use the 5/8″ (15.82mm) quick release fittings for PCV breather lines. Measure your fittings to confirm the exact size needed.
