Description
Extensive testing showed that filters in the 40 to 100 micron range provided the best balance between filtration performance and flow. All Improved Racing CCS catch cans come standard with a 100 micron filter, which provides the best performance for most engines and can be used in vent-to-atmosphere setups.
The 40 micron filter provides better filtration, but is slightly more restrictive and is not suitable for vent-to-atmosphere setups. It should only be used in recirculated PCV systems that use intake manifold vacuum. We recommend using this filter on smaller engines with up to 2 liters of displacement and up to 4 cylinders. The 100 micron filter should be used for all other applications.
