The Dexter® Trailer Axle 2,000 lb. Standard Spring (Part 12460340) is a genuine Dexter light-duty axle with a 71″ hub face and 58″ spring center. This straight, standard spring axle is ideal for single axle utility trailers, small boat trailers, and lightweight cargo applications.

This trailer axle beam is made from 1-3/4″ diameter round tubing with a 3/16″ nominal wall thickness and is available in a straight configuration only. It comes pre-configured with a 71″ hub face, 58″ spring center, E-Z Lube BT9 spindles featuring 1-1/16″ inner and outer journal diameters and includes brake flanges for optional future brake installation. The axle is cambered for load distribution and designed as an underslung setup, meaning the axle sits above the leaf springs. It is coated in standard black paint and comes with spring seats pre-welded for easy installation. Lubrication is grease-based.
Note: This listing is for the axle beam only—hubs, springs, hangers, and U-bolts are not included. Compatible idler hubs (sold separately) include 4 on 4″ and 5 on 4.5″ bolt patterns.
