Oil Cooler Sandwich Plate + Filter Spacer Combo

Description

This configurator allows you to customize an oil cooler sandwich plate to be used in conjunction with a filter spacer. The filter spacer is used for adding sensors, for offsetting your filter for additional clearance, or for adapting the sandwich plate to larger filter flanges.

Step 1

• The ENV-139 is a simple sandwich plate with no oil thermostat. This unit should be used primarily in track-only cars.
• The ENV-131 (-10AN ports), ENV-132 (-8AN ports), and ENV-135 (90-degree angled -10AN ports) sandwich plates feature an oil thermostat to prevent overcooling of your engine oil on the street and to ensure quick warmup times.
• We recommend using -10AN ports and -10AN oil lines to minimize restriction.
• We recommend choosing the 180°F or 200°F thermostat for street/track day cars, and the 212°F thermostat for dedicated track cars that run high viscosity engine oil. If you live in a cold climate, opt for the 200°F or 212°F thermostat.

Step 2

• Select the oil filter spacer:
  • The ENV-117 spacer features dual 1/8″ NPT sports for sensors. It also allows the sandwich plate to be used in applications that have a recessed filter flange (such as the FA20/FA24 engine).
  • The ENV-118 spacer is typically used for adapting a sandwich plate to Chevrolet Gen 1-2 small blocks and Mark 1-6 big blocks. Note that these applications require the 13/16″-16 thread size filter bung.

Step 3

• The required filter thread extension bung is sold separately and is selected in the remaining step. Choose a bung thread that matches your existing oil filter thread. These are high quality bung screws machined from hardened 410 stainless steel.

Filter Spacer Dimensions
