Description
Quality replacement air tank check valve for heavy-duty truck, trailer and off-highway pneumatic systems. The Midland Industries 39605 is a straight one-way check valve with a 3/8 in NPT male end and a 3/8 in NPT female end in a brass body, used to let air pass in a single direction and hold it there. It is a direct interchange for the Haldex KN23010 and Bendix 227870 single check valves, and flow direction is marked by an arrow cast into the body.
Signs You Need a New Check Valve
- Air pressure bleeds off with the engine shut down and the gauges are low the next morning
- Compressor runs constantly and the governor cuts in far more often, with longer build-up times
- A leak in one tank or circuit now drains the entire system instead of staying isolated, tripping the low-air warning
- Air dryer purges repeatedly and spits air, oil and moisture at the exhaust
- Stuck closed: slow or no pressure build in the downstream tank, sluggish brake release, or a trailer that will not charge

Verify port size, thread and flow direction against the valve being replaced before ordering. Install per the arrow on the body. Bendix service data calls for inspecting single check valves every 6 months or 1,500 operating hours, and considers more than a 1 in bubble in 5 seconds at the inlet cause for replacement.
