Bag Filters collect solids and particulates inside the filter bag. They are extremely low in cost, typicallyonly a few dollars each, and hold a comparatively large amount of contaminants, debris and sludge whencompared with cartridge style filters. Bag filters are available in a wide range from coarse to fine micron size.Therefore, Bag Filters are the preferred choice for the initial filtration process to capture the majority ofcontaminants, or as the ONLY method when simple basic filtration is required. In contrast, Cartridge stylefilters are more efficient in terms of Absolute filtration down to specific particle size and are required whenfiltering to rigid standards.
