Description
Midland Industries 38336 forged brass hose-shank adapter joins 1/2 in. ID push-on/clamp-on hose to a 3/8 in. male NPTF port. Used on heavy-duty truck low-pressure fluid lines — fuel-transfer return, coolant overflow, washer plumbing, and drain runs — where a 1/2 in. barbed hose has to terminate at a smaller 3/8 NPTF accessory port.

Used on heavy-duty truck low-pressure fluid plumbing:
