Description
Brass straight adapter that joins a -5 male JIC 37° flare end (1/2-20 UNF, 5/16″ tube) to a 1/4″ male NPT pipe thread. The Midland Industries 28705 lets a 5/16″ hydraulic / gauge tube terminate into a 1/4″ NPT port on truck wet-kits, fuel-pump test ports, and pneumatic-to-hydraulic manifold transitions.

Applications
Used as a JIC-to-pipe transition on:

Use a thread sealant rated for the working fluid on the NPT end; the JIC end seals on the metal flare and requires no sealant.
