Lanthanated Tungsten electrodes are an ideal choice for an all-around electrode. They can work equally well on AC or DC negative with a pointed end, or balled for use with AC sine power sources. They maintain a sharpened point, and so this makes them a great choice for welding steel and stainless steel. Like ceriated electrodes these lanthanated electrodes can start and maintain an arc at low voltages.
