3/8 offset.Offset is the distance from the starter mounting surface to the engine side of the ring gear.Fits 4.084 diameter block plate.The applications listed are original listings.We have found some mixing has occurred over the years.Check your measurement before ordering.
Typically the 3/8 offset starter is used on M/T flywheels with 164 teeth.
Note use of a PMGR style starter with a computer controlled engine requires the addition of a diode suppressed starter solenoid relay switch (11450).See F-11450-5 (Motorcraft) or M-11450-4B (replacement), for a proper solenoid.
Note the manufacturers installation instructions may suggest a bolt torque of 38 ft/lbs.Unless you have non-original grade 8 bolts limit this to 10-20 ft/lb using factory bolts.
