This new 12V gear-reduction starter delivers 4.3 kW through a 10-tooth pinion with electrical soft-start that rotates the pinion before cranking to prevent ring-gear tooth damage. Built with Delco’s Internal Magnetic Switch Solenoid (IMSS) for reduced wear and reliable cold-weather cranking on Freightliner M2, Blue Bird, and Thomas chassis.
